Allied Critical Materials builds software for protected rare-earth magnet and material supply chains. Our first product, Allied Magnet Assurance, helps processors, magnet makers, defense suppliers, and allied feedstock teams organize DFARS-relevant evidence, qualify suppliers, assemble lot packages, and prepare controlled buyer-review records.

ACM is a software provider. The Workbench helps teams organize evidence, flag gaps, and prepare review-ready packages for buyers, counsel, auditors, customers, and government-facing program teams. ACM does not provide legal advice, certify compliance, assume a physical chain-of-custody role, perform material production or sale activities, or make eligibility determinations.

Leadership

ACM is led by Steven Ebin, founder of Story.com, a software platform applying AI to structured creative workflows. Steven previously held growth roles at KeepTruckin, InVision, Optimizely, and MuleSoft, and hosted the Maked Up Stories podcast.

For ACM, that background is relevant to software product development, workflow design, AI-native systems, and go-to-market execution. It is not presented as legal compliance authority or a substitute for buyer diligence.

Buyer-readiness posture

• Proof artifacts first. Pilots should produce an inspectable evidence model, gap register, sample lot package, and controlled review workspace.

• Redacted or synthetic starts. Sensitive supplier and customer records can stay out of the first pass until NDA, security, and retention requirements are agreed.

• Clear responsibility boundaries. ACM organizes evidence and workflow. Buyers, counsel, auditors, and responsible program stakeholders make eligibility and compliance determinations.

• Procurement-ready handoff. A serious pilot should leave behind a statement of work, success criteria, security questionnaire inputs, data-handling notes, and production requirements.

Why this matters

Rare-earth magnet eligibility is becoming an evidence problem. As DFARS restrictions for covered magnets expand on January 1, 2027, teams need cleaner records for origin, facility history, transformation steps, chain of custody, supplier declarations, assays, certificates, QA/QC evidence, and review status.
